The Montgomery County Heritage Area has been awarded $507,776 through the Maryland Heritage Areas Program as part of Governor Wes Moore’s announcement of $5 million in statewide heritage grants. The funding will support preservation, tourism, and community-based projects that celebrate Montgomery County’s rich history while strengthening local economies through heritage tourism. Heritage Montgomery congratulates this year’s grant recipients and looks forward to seeing these investments preserve and share the stories that make our region unique.
