HM’s African American Heritage ProjectsWashington Revels present internationally renowned Arab drumming and dance specialist Karim Nagi in an uplifting, joyous, and participatory solo-performance concert for all ages. In this engaging program, Karim performs multiple drumming and percussion techniques, stomping and sticking folk dances, and melodic stories, invoking Arab culture with acrobatic rhythms and percussive movement for a modern setting.
