History Conversations | If These Shelves Could Talk — the Bethesda Public Library Turns 100

August 27 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Free

The Bethesda Public Library (now named for former Congresswoman Connie Morella) is neither the oldest nor the largest in Montgomery County, but it has the most interesting story, and its history tracks the establishment and growth of public libraries in America (and MoCo) over the last century. Join Hank Levine – Secretary of the Bethesda Historical Society – as he traces the growth of the library from two shelves in a General Store to today’s modern facility on Arlington Road. Free.
