Button Farm Living History Center – Heritage Days
Celebrate African American history. Experience our heirloom garden, heritage breed animals, event pavilion, and slave cemetery. Hands-on history activities for visitors of all ages depicting plantation life and the Underground Railroad in Maryland. Local author Susan Cooke Soderberg will give a keynote on her new book My Name Is Not Tom: The Life of the Reverend Josiah Henson. The Germantown Historical Society will present exhibits on local history and culture. Refreshments will be available.

Heritage Days kicks off this weekend, June 28 and 29! Now in its 26th year, this free, family-friendly festival invites you to explore 33 historic, cultural, and outdoor sites across Montgomery County, many of which are open specially for the event.
