Oakley Cabin African American Museum and Park – Heritage Days

Tour the restored log cabin, home to African American tenant families during the late 1800s. Meet historical characters from the past. Enjoy storytelling, live music, hands-on activities, games, and docent-led tours for children of all ages. Learn about the cabin’s history through a new augmented reality experience.

About Heritage Days

Heritage Days kicks off this weekend, June 28 and 29! Now in its 26th year, this free, family-friendly festival invites you to explore 33 historic, cultural, and outdoor sites across Montgomery County, many of which are open specially for the event.
