Join us for Heritage Days 2024, a countywide festival weekend celebrating the historic, cultural, and outdoor recreation sites in Montgomery County, Maryland. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, this year’s event will be held on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30 and features over 30 museums and parks.
Enjoy exhibits, demonstrations, live music, family-friendly activities, and sneak peeks inside some of the county’s oldest historic sites, all for FREE!
Keep your eyes open as you journey through the Heritage Area—the scenic beauty of the rolling hills may inspire a photo stop and a chance to explore hidden gems inside our many parks. Around any bend, you may find a historic barn or a farm stand selling locally grown produce.
As you travel our Rustic Roads and Scenic Byways by car or bike, pause for a picnic along one of the county’s waterways or a stay in a historic lockhouse or bed and breakfast. Be sure to visit our quaint towns and innovative restaurants, wineries, distilleries, and breweries who are keeping the farm-to-table traditions of our ancestors alive.
Immerse yourself in the stories of the Civil War, agriculture, local railroads and trolleys, African American communities, and so much more. Visit our Heritage Days page for a schedule of activities and a copy of our brochure.
